FROM THE STUDIO

Do you ever have those weeks where your to-do list is massive, but you just can't seem to focus? Well, that happened to me last week. I finally pulled myself up off of the floor (quite literally), and got some planning and jewelry making done. 

I'm really excited about our summer shows, the new collection (coming soon!) and new ideas for the blog. What are you most interested in seeing? Outfit posts, DIYs, styling tips? I would love to hear your ideas!

OMG SHOES!

For the past few days, I've found myself obsessing over cute summer footwear. I've been adding lots of shoes to my wishlist, and I thought I would share some of them with you! My favorite is 3, and I've been thinking about getting them for quite some time now. Which ones do you like best?

FROM THE STUDIO

Well, it's been a busy couple of weeks here in the studio. I went home last weekend to surprise my mom for her birthday/Mother's day. It was great to catch up with my family, see home, and surprise my mom! My sister and I even worked out an elaborate plan to lure her to the airport. 

We just finished shooting the new collection. I can't wait to see all of the photos! You'll have to check back to get the official launch date for the collection. 

I saw the new Great Gatsby movie. It has mixed reviews overall, but I loved it! I think that Leonardo DiCaprio was able to portray the intricacies and complexity of Gatsby's character. The costuming and design were so decadent and beautiful, and the soundtrack fit the movie perfectly.

Lastly, but certainly not least.... the Fresh Tangerine team is growing! I've added a full time production person to the team. I'm so excited to be able to offer someone a job, and to not have callused/sore hands all of the time. Alright, it's back to work for me.

GIFT GUIDE: MOTHER'S DAY // 1

I don't know about you, but this is one of those holidays that I struggle with. My mom's birthday is the week before Mother's Day, so I feel like there's double the pressure. My go-to gift is usually a photo of myself. I know this sounds conceited and lame, but my mom is always asking me for them. 

I can't reveal what I'm getting her this year, because my mom has been known to check up on the blog from time to time. Thanks, Mom! I do have some suggestions in case you've run out of flattering selfies.

SEATTLE ROADTRIP

A couple weeks ago, I took a mini road trip to Seattle with my sister and my cousin. We rented the cutest loft in Belltown through Airbnb, and it was sunny the entire time we were there (a Pacific Northwest rarity.) I got to see my friend, Sarah, who I met through blogshop last year. She recommended the cutest bakery in our neighborhood called Macrina Bakery!

We got to see Phoenix in concert, and we even got some quality crafting time in. I made this dreamcatcher for my studio.

I definitely want to go back to Seattle and explore some of the neighborhoods that I didn't get to see. Do you have any fun road trip stories? -Kim
