#FTFIELDTRIP // Elm coffee

If you find yourself near Occidental Park, Elm Coffee Roasters is the perfect oasis in Pioneer Square to calm your mind and relax. The modern, rustic interior has exposed beams, brick walls, and is filled with the right amount of natural light. It is located right next door to one of our favorite lunch spots, Pizzeria Gabbiano, and around the corner from newly opened Good Bar.  We decided to take start our #ftfieldtrip series at Elm Coffee because it was all of our first time visiting the spot.

The pastries are baked by the nearby London Plane and are fresh and delicious.  There is an in house roaster that is not quite yet in use, but we can't wait to go back when the aroma of roasting beans fills the space. This new spot features a micro roaster and they use the latest roasting and brewing techniques.

The baristas are friendly and welcoming, just like the interior of the space. The space is in the historical Furuya + Corgiat Building that was originally constructed in 1900 as a two- story substation for the Snoqualmie Falls located in North Bend, WA.

We will definitely be back soon!
