Over this summer past we made 1,500 bracelets for the Her Tern Half Marathon in Anchorage, Alaska. In order to get the bracelets done in time, we hired on Annie to be our newest jewelry maker. Here are some photos of the Bracelet Launch Party with the styles from the past 3 years. Annie has been making her own jewelry for years and you can see her work on her instagram. The latest addition to our team has upped our studio style game with her monochrome looks and ability to walk in chunky heels.
What is your name?
What do you do at Fresh Tangerine?
I make jewelry!
Tell us a little bit about your background in making jewelry.
I've been making jewelry ever since I was little. My love for jewelry making began when my aunt gave me a tray of glass beads for Christmas, and evolved through the years to include everything from macrame cuffs to miniature beaded lizards. I currently work mainly with chain, metal and braided leather and suede cord.
Three style staples?
A variety of extremely high-waisted pants, vintage kimonos, large hats, and platform shoes.
What is a must on your playlist?
Mainly disco, house and a few of classics like Prince, Michael Jackson and The Velvet Underground. David Bowie, Cameo, Blood Orange and my favorite artist, PHNK are definitely essentials! Favorite road trip destination? The Oregon Coast.
What is your favorite Fresh Tangerine piece and why?
I love the stacking rings! I love the way they create dainty golden lines all across the hands and fingers. It is such an elegant look.
