Seattle Stores

We're saying goodbye to our brick and mortar stores

I’ve been struggling to come up with the right words, but really there are none. After weighing all options and trying to create a plan to move forward, I’ve made the difficult decision to permanently close our two Seattle stores. The short explanation is that we don’t have the resources to keep everything going the way that we once did. I started Fresh Tangerine almost 10 years ago with $200 of my own money while working full time at a call center and am so proud of how it grew and blossomed into an amazing business with so many ways to connect with our community. We are a completely self-funded business, so in order to be able to keep going, something had to change. Unfortunately like many other small businesses, we were denied most of the funding we applied for. It’s been a struggle for everyone to continue to pay all of the overhead it takes to run a brick and mortar shop without any concrete promise of reopening. I will miss being able to welcome you into our shops and have an in-person connection and am grateful for all of you who stopped by or planned to stop in but didn’t quite make it. I’m hopeful that by simplifying and refocusing our energy and resources, we can strengthen our online connection and offer you a more intentional experience. My hope is that we can continue to support local brick and mortar shops as a community. They are often forgotten, but are an important and necessary part of any neighborhood landscape. We started as a primarily online and wholesale business, and I’m looking forward to spending time reconnecting with the foundation of who we are as a company.

Tucked away in the historic Pioneer Square neighborhood just south of downtown, our Pioneer Square store is a hidden treasure. You’ll know you’ve found the right place when you see the iconic hand display in the window. Adored by some and talked about by all, it’s a statement you won’t forget.

Once you enter our shop, you’ll have the opportunity to engage with our products and brand in a personal and meaningful way. The focus of this store is our jewelry and your experience. Every detail is intentionally thought out to create a welcoming and interactive environment. Our Sales Associates are available to guide you through our product offerings and are happy to chat as much or as little as you would like. Our hope is that you leave feeling better than when you arrived and with a sweet memory of your time with us.

Our Capitol Hill store is centrally located in a vibrant and bustling neighborhood right next door to Molly Moon’s Homemade Ice Cream. The waffle cone smell mixed with the scents of our candles will draw you in immediately. Once you enter the space, you’ll have the opportunity to engage with our brand, explore our jewelry and and browse a selection of curated gifts from other small businesses. We hope that you’ll leave our space feeling excited and inspired.
